CNC Machining & Threading
EAGS operates dedicated CNC turning centers for OD/ID finishing, bore machining, and custom tool joints. We machine API 5CT, OCTG, stainless, and nickel alloys with tight tolerance control. Threading to API 7, buttress, round thread, and proprietary connections. Lead times are 2–4 weeks depending on geometry complexity. Quality control includes dimensional verification and surface finish inspection on 100% of output.

Common Buyer Questions
What tolerances can you hold?
Standard OD/ID tolerances: ±0.005" on diameter, ±0.010" on length. Tighter tolerances (±0.002") available for premium tool joints with SPC certification.
Do you machine nickel alloys?
Yes. Inconel and Hastelloy require specialized carbide tooling and slow feed rates. We have dedicated CNC programs for nickel work. Lead time adds 1–2 weeks.
What connection types can you thread?
API 7 (standard casing threads), round thread, buttress, Hydril CX, VAM, and proprietary customer threads. We can reverse-engineer from samples or CAD.
Can you bore tubing for flow control?
Yes. Precision boring for screen joints, flow restrictor grooves, and drift specifications. We control bore runout and surface finish.
What about upset forging or heavy machining?
We subcontract upset and forging to trusted partners. For heavy stock removal, we recommend pre-finished blanks. Let's discuss your design—we can optimize for manufacturability.
Do you provide tool joint assembly with couplings?
Yes. We can thread and assemble couplings per customer specs. Final torque-testing and documentation included. Lead time for full assembly is 3–4 weeks.
